One of Global Entrepreneurship Week’s top events for women returns to Norfolk on November 17th. 100% of the women attending the Spark! business bootcamp for women said it helped them move forward with their ideas or business last year and the event received a high-impact award. This year’s event promises to be even bigger and better.
Spark! aims to be an inspiring and interactive day with a series of hands-on workshop options, the chance to meet others who are exploring or starting out in enterprise and to find out about the business support and advice available locally.
The event is led by Norwich-based Prowess in partnership with UEA and supported by Norwich City Council. It kicks-off with a ‘How they did it’ panel of self-made local business women, including award-winning young entrepreneur Emily Groves of Indigo Swan and musician and social entrepreneur Anna Mudeka. Women over 50 are the largest group of people starting businesses and Marian Catlin of the Shift will share her experience of leaving the public sector at 55 to set-up her cultural and creative consultancy.
The bootcamp is for women with no business experience as well as those in the early stage of running their business.
Finbarr at UEA Student Enterpris says: “UEA is running a whole range of events during Global Entrepreneurship Week and this year we wanted to include a celebration of women entrepreneurs. We are excited about the potential for bringing young start-ups from the university together with dynamic women from across the county.”
The Spark! Business Bootcamp for Women will take place UEA Sportspark, Norwich on Tuesday 17th November from 9.30am – 3pm. To secure your place please visit: sparknorwich.eventbrite.com
